How to Apply

To apply for the Joseph Mesch Scholarship please do the following:

  1. Make a copy of your transcripts.
  2. Include your full name, address, email, date of graduation, and high school.
  3. Prepare a written essay on the Vietnam era.

    • The essay should be five type written pages.
    • Contain the United States involvement in Vietnam.
    • Describe how the United States became involved.
    • Describe both the political and military goals of the war.
    • Tell us what you learned about the research you have done and how you feel about it.
    • Are there lessons learned that could be used today?

  4. Send an email to scholarship@cochisecountyvva.org to let us know you are applying.
  5. When your essay is complete and you have your transcripts, send them to:

  6. Deadline for submission is June 1st, 2010. (The deadline has been extended)

You will be notified that we have received your application. You will be invited to appear before our scholarship committee for an interview and to take a general test of the Vietnam War and Era. If you have any questions, send them to scholarship@cochisecountyvva.org
